More than a restaurant
The island restaurant is more than just a restaurant. It is a commitment to this unique piece of earth in the middle of the water and thus also to the region. Nestled in the centre of the island, the restaurant forms a harmonious whole with the other buildings and the surrounding natural landscape, which you can feel – with every sip and every bite!
Local specialities, regional classics
It’s a wonderful experience to relax on an island in the middle of the lake and enjoy freshly caught fish from its water. We work together with Lake Zurich fishermen and bring their daily catch to your table. Our kitchen uses many products that are sourced from the land belonging to the abbey. We also use high-quality meat and poultry, and source as much of it as possible from the Lake Zurich cantons of Schwyz, St. Gallen and Zurich. And, of course, we are increasingly focusing on vegan products. Nowadays they are so good that they can even convince our kitchen crew, who have very discerning palates.
Garden, terrace, indoor space
The island restaurant offers plenty of space. Outside, you can enjoy the weather in our beautiful garden or on the spacious terrace. Inside, there is room on the ground floor, in case the weather is not quite so inviting.
